Now comes to the conclusion should you buy Xiaomi Redmi 6 or not?

The Redmi 6 is no dought a great phone at the price of 7999. Like every smartphone its also have some cons but there are no measure cons. If you ok with all of the cons so go for it, Redmi 6 is a very good smartphone.

At the price of 7999 Xiaomi offers the dual rear camera with EIS on video recording which makes this phone a great deal.

Don’t go the 64gb variant because of the same 3GB RAM. I don’t know why Xiaomi do this but go with the 3GB and 32GB ROM variant and use a MicroSD for memory expansion.

There are other options like Redmi note 5, Redmi Y2, Redmi 6 Pro with Snapdragon SoC.

Xiaomi keeps on launching new phone every two month. This time they launched Redmi Y2 successor of the Y 1 which was a flop phone this time lets see what happens and how they make up to the mark because the price of Redmi Y2 is Rs 9999 for the basic variant of 3 GB Ram & 32 GB Storage which competes against their own phone Redmi note 5 where as they intend to compete with the Oppo’s Realme 1 as they named Y2 as Realyou. There are a lot of phones in this price segment by xiaomi itself like Redmi Y1, Redmi 4, Redmi 5, Redmi Note 4, Redmi Note 5, Mi A1, Redmi note 5 pro etc ignoring other brand phones like honor, samsung, motorola, lenovo, vivo etc

Redmi Y2 Price and Specifications

Xiaomi today in an event in Delhi launched Redmi Y2 which succeeds the Y1 launched last year which did not go wel but still xiaomi continues with that series so lets talk about its specifications. It comes with a 5.99 inches HD+ Display with the resolution of 1440×720 giving us the pixel density of 269 pixels per inches. Not giving the full HD Display could be a reason for the failure of this series again. There is a 3.5 mm headphone jack IR blaster, charging port, speakers, microphone and secondary noise cancellation mic.

In the front we also have a 16 MP AI based camera which seems to be an improvement by xiaomi. In the back we get a dual camera setup of 12 MP and 5 MP Depth Sensor which enables the portrait mode feature in the phone and there is an LED flash between both the rear cameras which looks pretty well and yes one more thing its a vertical dual camera set up. Beneath that there is fingerprint sensor and xiaomi branding at the bottom.

Y2 runs on the powerful snapdragon 625 soc by Qualcomm which is pretty old by now but seems xiaomi’s favoruite because they use it each time. Their Redmi note 4 and note 5 are also running on the same chipset which makes it a direct competition to note 5 considering their price too.

Y2 has 3080 mah battery which is quite low but lets see its performance when coupled with 625 soc which is power efficient and a normal 5V 2A charger with USB to Micro USB cable and a Sim ejector tool in the box. Phone comes in two variants one with 3 GB Ram 32 Storage priced at Rs 9999 and 4 GB Ram 64 GB Storage pricing Rs 11999. Storage can be expanded upto 256 GB via dedicated SD card slot in the phone.

Y2 runs on the latest MIUI 10 confirmed by xiaomi and android oreo 8.1. Xiaomi just introduced the MiUI 10 over MIUI 9.5. Devices eligible for MIUI 10 China Developer ROM
